THE WONDER HERB THAT IS TUMERIC










Genesis  KJV 1:11 , "And God said, let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth, and it was so".

Have you heard about TUMERIC? Well, I have. It is an herb which The Bible says was among  the first that God made when He created everything, thank God! An herb is a plant that can be used as medicine. From what I have read on the internet, it says that it belongs to the ginger family that came from Asia.  The powder is yellow in color, an image of which is on this page.
                         
                         
There was a time in my life when I did not care at all about herbal stuff. That was when I was not so conscious with my health. I had been abusive I never did care if I was eating too much meat with fats or too much sweets, only later in my life I am reaping what I had sown. Too bad really that I was not interested in the subject of  good health.

Before my mama died, she was stricken with Alzheimer's disease, a type of dementia that causes memory loss and change in thinking and behavior. I have read that it can be passed on to your descendants, that is so scary for me especially when I noticed that I am already manifesting some of its symptoms like being forgetful.  As what I have also learned, Tumeric has an ingredient that is called curcumin which lessens development of Alzheimer's disease.

To ensure that I have a daily dose of Tumeric, I add a teaspoon of Tumeric powder   to a hot water as a tea with 1 teaspoon of honey and 1 to 2 pieces of calamansi or lemon. However, we can incorporate Tumeric powder with other recipes , too. Although Tumeric is also sold in other forms like in capsules and topical medicine, the powder form can be added to your curry recipes and soups. In the Philippines, the powder is used as food coloring, as well, like in my favorite Arroz de Valenciana, a yellow sticky rice recipe.

Although in my case, I only have good effects in taking my daily dosage of Tumeric powder for my tea, however, there had already been recorded side effects, so let us always check with the doctor in this case, after all, we are talking about good health here.
